Small Sided Games

Small Sided Games (SSG) are played in the Macarthur region from Under 6 to Under 11 age-groups. These are mixed teams of boys and girls.

Small sided games have a different number of players, pitch size, rules, etc.. which change as a child moves through the age groups.

The aim of SSGs are to enhance the skills of young players before they have to play on full sized pitches.

These games are all played on Saturdays, unless catching up for wet weather, etc.

As these are not strictly competition games, the season ends in a Gala Day, where all teams for an age-group play at the one ground. How these Days are organised can be different depending on the age-group.
